Just thought id share this old video i found of Dave Murray and Adrian Smith (My favorite guitarist biggrin.gif ) doing a Solo / intrumental / duel or whatever on the Somewhere In Time tour.

Dave Murray And Adrian Smith

Absolutely love Murrays style, He was my first, and still is, my fave guitarist, his tone is so smooth and creamy, and hes influenced my soloing style more than any other guitarist, And Adrian smith is just well....Adrian Smith, kick ass guitarist and along side Dave Murray and Janick Gers they form the greatest guitar Trio, or "Circle" or whatever.

I just saw Maiden live!!! got back from the gig an hour ago!!! At the "Dubai Desert Rock" Festival.. It was great, one of the best gigs i've ever been to.. The show started off with mastodon, in flames, stone sour, the prodigy.. and then ended with Iron Maiden (the reason why I payed so much money to fly there, etc!). Absolutely stunning. They played half of their new album and loads of their greatest songs.. The trooper, Run to the hills, Hallowed be thy name, Wrath Child, The evil that men do, etc..

Murray had one technical difficulty with his guitar during their second song but they were too experienced to let it all fall down so the band contiuned to play while dave replaced his axe.

STUNNING! Dave murray and Adrian smith are also part of the reason why I picked up a guitar a few years back.. All I listened to was Maiden!

Rock on biggrin.gif:D

Ahh! Powerslave - such a great, great album!

It's definitely one of my favourite Maiden albums - but I couldn't possibly pick the top one. The short list would probably be Powerslave, Piece of Mind, Iron Maiden, Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son and Killers.

Oh dear, looking at that list, I'm really "old school", aren't I? biggrin.gif

I totally hate a matter of life and death laugh.gif My absolute favorites are everything from 1980 - 1988, of course I really like everything from 1990 - 2003 aswell, but the 80's are my favorites. And as I said, I hate a matter of life and death, though every other album is really good, even the blaze bayley ones. Kinda cool how they use different intrsuments in The angel and the gambler, in the intro atleast.
Actually all this talking about Iron Maiden made me wanna put on the albums I havent listened to in a long time, fear of the dark, virtual XI etc. tongue.gif they are all great.
(oh and btw, no offence about hating a matter of life and death, just my personal opinion smile.gif )

Meh i dont care, Although most people i know have Really liked it, but anyway, i deal with people telling me how much my music preference sucks all the time, especially when they find out i listen to trivium, then they start to REALLY Bitch, so i just learn to ignore all of it.

Anyway, Maiden own, and i cant wait to see them live again!
