Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi friend! Good job with this lesson! I can see that your playing is improving. Each aspect is better on this one compared with the previous takes. Here are some things to have in mind for the next days of practice in order to continue polishing this lesson:

- Dynamics: Check how Bear gives more aggression to some of the notes to give more dynamics to his playing. Pay attention to it and try to emulate it.

- Vibrato: Your vibrato is better but it's still a bit weak. You need to continue working on this technique. Check out Ben's vibrato series.

- The part at 00:25 is played with a different rhythm and that gives your hammer lick sound with a different groove and intention. Check out the original lesson again. All the second half of the lesson is a bit different so re-check the rhythm there.

This are mostly details, you are doing a very good job with this one. Keep on rocking. wink.gif

Hi Phil, this is great. Sounding so much better now.

What Gab noticed is that the 2nd note of each phrase is ever so slightly too early still. It's really a fraction but it's still noticeable.

But it's really walking the line so you just get away with it, you devil. But try to see if you can hone the timing of that 2nd note of every phrase so that it falls in just the right place.

If you counted 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 really quickly over every bar you would see that that elusive note should occur on the first '4' every time. But only if you count up to 8 twice. Try it and see if you can hear what I mean. smile.gif

Hey Phil!

Congrats for passing this one - we have ran it through and through and you know all my thoughts already - take heed at what the guys have suggested and try to keep bettering this one up. Too bad the guys couldn't hear the audio recording you psoted right before recording this video - I'm sure you would've gotten a 9 at least smile.gif That one sounded more natural and very, very close to Bear's. I guess time spent recording will make you feel more natural in front of the camera wink.gif
