Hi guys, im posting this with a panic mind. lol.

well i just got this string buzz after changing the string, the thing is i did not change the string gauge or tension, i use the exact string from before. i think the action screw(i don't know what is it called, what i mean is the screw that we must tighten or loosen to adjust our string action) has changed when i remove the string(i dont remember well but i think i touched it and changed the action accidentally).

now when i want to play, it gives me string buzz in the G string. im confused when i lower the action, it still give me buzzes, and when i make the action high, it still give me the buzz, what should i do?

please help this desperate man sad.gif

hi guys,

i was just wondering, when i play a power chord (let say A power chord with the root note on 5th string), i do it with the standard fingering, pointer finger for the root note, and the other two notes with the ring finger and pinky, and i put my middle finger on the 6th string (just touching it not fretting it). the middle finger was supposed to mute the 6th string completely so when we strum the strings with our pick it doesnt sound at all.

but what im experiencing is that the 6th string was sounding like a natural harmonic, please note that i am not touching the string with my middle finger "on top" of the fret(which was a natural harmonic fingering position), i just touch it lightly beetween the two frets nearby.

how can i get rid of the sound? because its kind of annoying.

i know its not a big problem when we do some "accuracy strumming" and strum the strings only from the 5th string and not strumming the 6th string at all. but its kind of hard when i got into the music and i just strum from the 6th string.

can you tell a different technique for this? is my finger in the wrong place? or what? please tell me

thanks in advance guys smile.gif

okay my internet connection have been bad since last week and i have a hard time accessing GMC. but i have good news too biggrin.gif, last week i got my first electric guitar, a nice CORT X-2 with some body painting on it. its very nice biggrin.gif

and here is the picture of the guitar , sorry i will upload a more detailed picture later, but i guess everybody knows the look of x-2's neck and headstock tongue.gif, and sorry for the quality, i dont have a camera and only got this VGA quality camera phone sad.gif

oh yeah i was just wondering how people use the guitar straps and adjust the guitar to be positioned in the same level as your waist (not too low not too high, a bit up to your stomach). if i use that kind of position with my straps my hands just feel WAAY shorter than before and i cant reach the note i want to play tongue.gif, is it all just practice and get used to it? or is it a physical limit?

oh yeah thanks to my dad for buying me this axe. hope to make him proud with this thing biggrin.gif
