Hi MrUk.

You can play this whole lesson using the right notes and with tight timing but there are some things to work in order to polish the whole thing. The main thing that I note is that your palm muting technique is not hard enough for this style. You don't mute too much low E string so it keeps on sounding when you play the other parts of the riff (mostly on 5th string). This issue makes your take sound more Stoner, instead of Thrash metal. If you pay attention to my take, you will notice that the riffs sound aggressive but clean. By clean, I don't mean without distortion, I mean that there is only one string sounding when it's required. So please re-check your palm muting technique.

The solo section is ok, but you have to work on vibrato and that trills lick that is not sounding smooth yet.

Finally, I also think that your tone is more Stoner than Thrash. I don't know what you used for this one, but you can try something with more high end, combined with the bridge pick up.

Let's use Gab's Army if you need any help with these things.

Choice of lesson let You get a fully detailed feedbakc from the author himself - Gabriel. When I listen to Your take and original lesson I can say You're somewhere above the half of the job. You know where to place Your fingers and You got familair with the rhythm. Now it's time to take a very close look at articulation - especially pal muting which is crutial for metal rhythm guitar. Listen and compare to original lesson. At this moment Your low notes "glue" with the higher one at the beginning section. Palm muting and left hand noise muting is what You need to separate the "theme" from the solid bottom.

Hi man, as the guys have said you need to get palm muting into your skill set. At the moment all the notes are bleeding into each other and palm muting will help separate the low E from the other licks and chords that occur afterwards.

I made a YT video ages ago about palm muting, this might be of help to you.

As for the solo, you need to work on hammer-ons and pull-offs in order to make it all sound smoother. I recommend some simple hammer-on lessons which also involve pull-offs as well.

Other than that, your timing and hand coordination is all good so just focus on those 2 areas for now and you'll start noticing a difference
