Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

nicely done!!! This is NOT an easy bit of music. Some folks really struggle with econ picking. You seem to have a really good handle on it!! This REC reminds me actually of a LOT of my own lessons in BOOTCAMP but it's much longer. Like several bootcamp missions put together. You display good technique here. Good muting, picking, articulation and most of all, good vibrato. Vibrato is the measure of a guitar player IMHO. It's the most expressive technique on the instrument and once's control or lack thereof on vibrato is what separates players. You have very good control over your vibrato and you are able to vary the speed and depth of the vibrato which is key. In short, I'd say you KRUSHED it!!

Looks very good!

You have got the technique down. The only problem I see is that you have slight hand sync problems in your position shifts, which doesn't sound that good to my ears (ie 00:39). So this is what you should focus on.

You could just repeat a short exercise that has a position shift in it.

Keep up the killer work, you get an 8 from me!

Well done Carlos!

This take is very good mate. Good timing, and clean playning along the whole take, even in the faster sections.

There is only some room to improve your vibrato and to make your picking sound even stronger to make the notes sound clearer (more defined). Ben's vibrato is outstanding so trying to emulate him could be a good idea to improve your own technique. Regarding picking, sometimes I feel that your picking is a bit soft, try picking with more strengh as a part of your training.

Keep the good job!
