So a loop is often refereed to a cycling continuation of a musical idea (beat, arpeggio or even melody...). Any copy/paste of tracks inside a song can be considered as creating your own loops, so we actually use them much more than we think. Buying loops were more of a rap, EDM thing and still is the most popular approach for those genre's but today its evolving to be not only used on other genre's but even becoming an instrument/workstation. Here is a company I stumbled upon that seems to be a well know one https://www.bigfishaudio.com check out their guitar, rock etc. related loops from their catalog. Nowadays they're making their own or Kontakt version of loops that works in such ways; So I guess it can get pretty deep is one prefers to. In the past it was very basic, was more like stacking lego cubes in a DAW so you can imagine how surprised I am of whats going on there days This post has been edited by Mertay: Mar 12 2020, 02:07 PM |
