Hello Gab.

I could not play guitar of the year because of my work.
Is it possible to resume coaching with you?

I am no longer interested in neo-classics. For several months, I have been much more interested in guitar players like Gary Moore, Zack Wylde, Van Halen, Doug Aldrich.

I can only play one hour a week now.

Here is the last improvisation I played a short time ago:

If this is not possible, i will understand.

Thx in advance.

chris

Wou!! Your improvisation is very enjoyable man!!! I love your energy and tone on this one. The are many strong points on this one, starting with your vibrato, but also your bending, legato work. You already have a killer base to play the style that you want.

Based on the guitarists that you've listed, you should have knowledge and full control of these elements (among some others):

- Blues improvisation: Minor & Major Pentatonics, Dominant arpeggios, Mixolydian, Dorian and Ionian modes.

- Following the chords: Being able to visualize triads to connect your solos and phrases to the chords sounding in the backing.

- Alternate Picking: I notice some hand sync issues when crossing strings at fast tempos in your solo.

- Economy and Hybrid Picking: Zakk makes a great use of these two techniques.

- Horizontal playing: More use of the scales horizontally along the fretboard.

- Different bending types.

What do you think? I'm open to continue working with you. Should we start? smile.gif

Hello Gab.

The 2 lessons seem very difficult to me because of the speed. However, I will try to do my best because they please me.

As for the improvisation, I used to use only position 1 of the penta minor. So I start the week you advise me.

Thank you in advance.

Have a good day.

Hi Chris, these two lessons include essential exercises for you based on your musical tastes. Please use the slow backings and metronome to practice at your comfortable speed and increase it gradually. I know that it will take time to master them, but the idea is to keep these as your diary alternate picking, and hybrid picking exercises.

Hello Gab.
It's OK. No problems. I'll work it a little bit every day.
