Hi muris, how are you
I saw on a video on GMC that you work with cubase, I've had Cubase for a while now, but I still record myself with Audacity + FL Studio 5 for backing tracks. I tryed to see how does cubase work .. but it's complicated, so I was wondering if you can lead me on something (to record myself + backing tracks) and also it would be cool to see a tutorial so we can how everything clearly work

hey muris, I know you've been busy with london and all and all ... I have a little question though, I was using Cubase, and I can't record my guitar, my only input is ASIO input, (I have a pod x3, but I can't find it's input in cubase) so actually I only can record every sound on my computer, but can't record my guitar sound ... do you have any idea what is it ??

What kind of Audio card do you have?
Audio drivers should be Asio tho
but Cubase has to recognize your AudioCard and its inputs first.

I have a Realtec AC97 Audio, but I should be able to use my pod x3 line 6 sound card in inputs ?? no ?
It's really weird because I can record myself with audacity, but it seems like cubase doesn't show me my recording input, I can only record sounds on my pc !

Yeah,Cubase has to recognize you audio card.
Check out audio settings,that would be in Devices,and then audio or som.
Be sure to install proper Asio drivers for your card that work with Cubase as well.

Apologies for butting in Muris.

Jad - the problem may be a known issue with the X3 rather than Cubase - take a look at http://line6.com/support/message.jspa?messageID=179299. It's not limited to Cubase either - similar reports from most of the major sequencers. It looks like the solution may be a complete uninstall of the X3, followed by a clean install and use 16 bit resolution.

You don't get the issue with Audacity as Audacity doesn't use ASIO so will probably default to the realtek ac97 on board pc chip.
