Hi,

On my Jackson RR24 I got it all tuned nice to Drop C, then put the bolts on at the top got it in tune again to make sure, but whenever I even touch my whammy bar its guarenteed to go way off tune.

Ive seen alot of people go nuts with theres and its still playable after, how can I acheive this and keep it in tune after using it?

Thanks,

Rowan

hmm interesting..does that guitar have a high end floyd rose, or a lower end floyd rose?

the materials used in them make a big difference. also, drop C is a little tough on some floyds....take a long time to get the right tension....but keep toying with it...

The rr24 jackson comes with an original floyd rose so the trem quality is not the problem, it's the setup.
You have to adjust the spring tension to the lower and shifted tuning (low c has a lot less tension then the rest of the strings).

When the strings are properly stretched, the nut is closed tightly, the intonation is set, the guitar is tuned and the spring tesnion is set correctly there is almost nothing that you can do with the guitar to detune it. You have to use brute force to detune a properly setup Original floyd!

*There can always be something wrong even with the best gear, if you can't find what's wrong then take the guitar to a tech for a professional check and setup!*

Just a quick question...
How many springs are you using in it at the moment?

OK, that's cool! Right, next question:-
When you use the Floyd and you loose the tuning is it going sharp or flat?
