I have a Peavey Transfex 208s, and also a Behringer FX600 effects pedal I do not know how good they are, but I would very much like a very deep, crunchy distortion. Lol, I wish I knew more guitar lingo, haha How do I get the deepest, richest distortion...kinda of warm sounding I guess. Like Metallica!!!! Ah I would so like to approach a Metallica sound, please tell me what effects might do this if it is possible? -Tucker P.S. If by saying help me get "Metallica sound" makes me sound like a dufus, please inform me so I do not do it again haha, thanks fellow GMCers This helped me a lot when I had Line 6 Pod or a Boss GT. But whatever band you like find the song you want the tone of, try and google around and see what the guitarist uses for equipment. Kirk and James both use different ways of coloring and getting their tones. Kirk would rather have a clean channel and layer on the distortion, where James is distortion on a dirty channel. They mainly use a scooped mids sound. I would do something like Bass: 11 o'clock , Mids: Mids 8 o'clock , Treble: 1 or 2 o'clock. Add a little bit of reverb to give it a thicker tone. Some good amount of gain. -------------------- Guitars:
