Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hello there smile.gif

Mate, congrats on your first take here in the REC zone smile.gif I do believe it is the first one, right?

Now, it looks like you got all the parts down and the timing is ok, but I would like to talk to you about 4 things:

- the tuning of the guitar - it seems that it is a bit out of tune.. You might wanna check it before recording wink.gif
- the bends - some of them are not quite reaching the correct pitch and you should use your wrist more - for example: 0:44
- the vibrato is done with the fingers, instead of using the whole wrist - you will gain tremendous strength in your vibrato as long as you will be using the wrist wink.gif example: 0:46
- there are some unwanted noises sometimes - example: 0:19

Having these in mind, work on this slowly until you get the details under your thumb smile.gif

Cosmin

Hi and welcome to the REC program! I think that Cosmin already marked the things that you have to pay attention and work. To add something to his comments I would like to suggest you some lessons that could help you to improve these things:

Wellcome to the REC zone! smile.gif It;s great that You had the courage to record video smile.gif But...as You probably noticed were here to talk about what's wrong so take a deep breath and sit on the chair tongue.gif

There is a long way to run to make this perfect. It's best to do just a little steps like:

1. You don't have to practise much to....improve Your tuning. IT's good to spend a bit more time on stretching the strings and getting Your guitar well tuned. It's also good to check not only the open strings but also the notes You will use in the solo (press the finger on the fret, hit and see what does the tuner say) Tuning issues can hurt even cery well played solos. Precise tuning is also an act of respect to the listeners and other players smile.gif))

2. Vibrato need some workout
- Watch the video that Gabriel posted
- Try to do it from the wrist - not only fingers
- You can use more than one finger to hold the string while vibrating.

3. Tone - Tone need some improvement. If You want to get into blues try to listen to some blues players. You need some clarity in the treble for shure. Also that nose-like middle is unpleasant to the ears

As You can see 3 different people have similar thoughts about Your take so it's worth trying to improve those things.

Usually it's very good to do the take no matter how much You worked on it so we can point some basic mistakes to work on at help You save some time in further developement smile.gif

Thanx for joining the section. Can't wait to see You progress smile.gif
