Hi, Alex!
Finally, I recorded a take with arpeggios. Arpeggios work well here! But I found I should improve my sweep picking to play them with ease. New frases start at 1:17 http://soundcloud.com/artem-6/task2_smolentsev_take4 |

Glad you like my take Looking forward for a new assignment. Here is a new assignment! We will add more scales and combinations! http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/smolentsev-1 Over Emi7 I would like you to play E dorian Over A7 B minor pentatonic A chromatic scale (you can use any notes from it just don't resolve into them) D maj7 When this chord will come I would like you to combine E dorian scale with arpeggios here are arpeggio choices: F# mi7 D maj7 E mi7 Bmi7 If you will use more arpeggios than E dorian will be perfect! Let me know if you have any questions or need help! -------------------- |

Hi, Alex! Here is my take as I promised Still have some confusions with sweep picking, but I think this problem will disappear with practice. http://soundcloud.com/artem-6/task2_smolentsev_take5 You did a great job on the solo! Sweep picking is very hard but more you do it better you will get! I did a lesson a few months ago it will help you with sweep https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Sweep-...-7th-Arpeggios/ Check it out! I also have a perfect exercise for you! It will help you to master modes plus will bring your alternative picking to the next level! Modes being used: F# Locrian - G major - A dorian - B phrygian - C Lydian - D mixolydian - E minor Here it is! E ||----------------------------------------------3----| Guitar Pro Scales_workout.gp5 ( 8.99K ) Number of downloads: 80 I would like you to start by getting use to those shapes and when you will be learning them try to call out notes it will help you to master the neck better! And here is a cool part of this exercise! I played a track and would like you to play along with me! This exercise will help you with picking technique! http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/modes-workout Let me know if you have any questions or need help! Ok, I'm practicing this exercise. Should I make a record over the click or just play along with you over the backing track?
