Hello guys! As the previous tune has been very successful, we decided to do a free download EP that includes around 4 song. Everybody is invited to join, we also need somebody to do the mix and the art cover.

The explanation:

"The idea is that each of as records a melody of 4 measures over the following backing track, but we have to be very organized to do this cool and fluently. I recorded the first melody, if you want to be the next GMC:er that adds a melody you must say: "I'm recording my melody right now!", download the files from Soundcloud that has my melody, record your melody and upload the new file.... Please don't take more than 5/10 minutes to record the solo so you just have to say the magic phrase once you really know what you are going to play. (maybe once you have it recorded!)."

This backing has two sections, the riff (verse) that is in A minor, and the chorus that is in A Myxolydian. You can use A pentatonic minor and A minor over the verse and A pentatonic major and A Mixolydian over the chorus.

I'll buy something as soon as I can figure out which one makes the most sense for me to own. It sounds like these patches are really getting better than I remember back in the stone ages... We used to use actual rocks in our rock music!

Thanks for sharing... I already get a really nice tone with my freeware version and that TS808 emulator. I was amazed at the sound actually!

Now that I think of it... I have a little Fender Mustang amp that I practice with... anyone know if you can do add ons like VST's and use them on those little amps since they are software driven as well?

Wanted to improve my tone's quality a bit, so I tweaked it, re rendered the song with mine and vonhotch's takes in it.

Thank ye sir... I tend to get bored with my "normal" playing so I start coming up with things.... this was a tapping stretch on the 1st string from 5th to 12th with the left hand and 15th and 17th with the right. You almost had the answer in your question... minus the bar. I used my whammy pedal with each note that I tapped. Yeaaa, I was bored....

Wou guys! This is becoming the best collab that I have ever listened in GMC! You are giving your best over this backing and I feel that this project is very promising. Thanks everybody for the nice melodies and licks that are submitting!

And as Ulrik said, I think that Tom Morello is a secret agent here and recorded a whammy melody in this one....

Hahaaa thanks DG! It was about 2:30 AM when I threw that in there, if I had been using power tools my girl would have woke up and clobbered me with a frying pan! It was just a little whammy action, double recorded the track and panned one left and one right at 25% to get a bigger sound.

Sorry that I was a little too quick with that one, had to go to work... of course you can leave that one out if a prisitine guitar-track is required, if nothing else is added I'll give it a second go, and by sound degradation I meant the inevitable quality loss during the ongoing mp3 encoding/recoding procedure, of course not the quality of the musical bits thrown in here, just to make this clear
