Hai!

I've been moving around this website for a while, but I only just managed to get money to my paypal account, so here I am!

I'm the 20-year-young lead guitarist of future punk-metal sensation (well, once we write some songs anyway!) Groene Shit. I frequently go by the names of Kutch, Koekoeksklok and Jesus, but you may call me Johan if you really have to. I'm from Holland, and make cheese for a living, as all dutch people should do.

My favourite current bands are basically Dream Theater, Korn, Muse and Tenacious D, all mostly for the vocals, but Petrucci's guitar work is definitely the sort of style I could see myself playing in a few years. I love a massive load of other bands, but these are the only bands I can sing along with all day (except the D, they get exhausting a bit sooner)

I used to be a singer when I was tiny, then I grew up with a keyboard, stepped over to drumming as I thought it was cooler and then moved to guitar as I simply hadn't done it yet (and I'm a horrible drummer, unsteady righthand). After spending two and a half years doing the same things I did about an hour after I got my first guitar I decided I needed some change. So I scoured the internet for excercises, found Pavel, got myself a pick (can you believe I played with fingerpicking only for that long? biggrin.gif) and got to work.

A week later I noticed I was already making massive progress (which was not just due to using a pick), so I decided I'd take the next step and get a new guitar and amp, which made me play much faster and cleaner almost instantly, now I'm here to get some class lessons for fast (but short) ap-runs in petruccistyle solo's and phrasing!

Oh, and I'm looking for an old Petrucci Ibanez (yes, he is my god)!

Anyway, it be great to be here!
