Meh, I know what you mean. I hate being sick, can't seem to do anything right. Quite frustrating and depressing but hey, it only lasts for a little while!

The worst thing is that I dislocated my shoulder 2 years ago and now sometimes it hurts with changing weather. The problem is that I sometimes can't tell if my shoulder hurts or my wrist hurts from practicing guitar, so that leads to some serious hand injuries biggrin.gif

Cancel away if you need to, it won't help your health.

Back pain is common with flu.

Getting sick is natures way of telling you to take a break from the stresses of work. Dude relax! Studying this closely it is believe mostly males 'man-flu' can bring this sickness on themselves at times of need (a few days off school/work). It's great!

Panadol and flu drugs depress your bodies natural fight against the flu, aka the fever which is meant to raise your body temperature to break the flu. Therefore most drugs these days actually are just tempory relief, prolonging it or create super viruses.

Chicken soups and penty of fuilds with rest are the best option, but how can you get these while sick and in bed?

The females tend to work through this sickness (being a stronger gender) who have no time to be sick due to all the males being sick. laugh.gif

I know exactly how you feel, since I have a very bad cold this week, and I absolutely hate being sick. I have basically not done anything but lay on the couch for three days now, but there are some benefits, since I have been able to actually sit down and listen to some cd's somebody give me for a early Christmas present, so there are some benefits to being sick smile.gif

ug - sorry to hear that. Hope you're better soon!
Seems whenever I get sick, I get floored. It's rare I get just a "little" sick. I suppose if you have the energy though, you can at least kick back in a cozy chair and play ?

Sorry to hear that mate....

I have read on the Internet that if you drink alcohol, heavily while you are sick, it speeds up recovery time....( I can't back that up biggrin.gif )

And if it's on the internet it's gotta be true wink.gif

+1!! Daniel, is it not so that we always realize how good it is to be healthy when we're feeling sick? We NEVER EVER appreciate the feeling of good health laugh.gif because we regard it as a normal state smile.gif

I managed to get away from the flu since early march this year smile.gif hopefully I shall stay clear!

Sorry to hear this Adrian, hope you're feeling better today. I especially hate the flu, when it akes your whole body ache.. urrrgh dry.gif

Azza has a good point about chicken broth/soup etc.. I read a comment somewhere that was from the military. I can't remember it exactly but it went something like this:

'For a recovering soldier, chicken broth.. for an active soldier, the whole chicken.'

When we're ill, we don't want to spend extra energy on breaking down food so things like soup and fluids are good because they transport the nutrients without the body having to work harder to break it all down etc. I only found this out the other week myself but it makes sense ! smile.gif
