I just wanted to share this story with you guy's. My wife Laura and I took our vacation end of June 2011 and went to Visit my Parents in California. We brought our Axe's and played while we were there for my Parents. Laura and I ended up needing strings so we went to Guitar Center to get some. My Mother went along for the ride. While we were there looking around as we always do my Mom had dissapeared. Laura and I could not find her. She came out of the Acoustic Guitar area with a look of a Kid at Christmas time holding an Electric Acoustic (Ibanez). She of course bought it and has been practicing everyday. After we got back home my Father bought an Electric Acoustic as well and now they are playing together. They are 66 and 64. I just thought it was really cool and I'm so glad they have a hobby now and they really love it. We skype sometimes together but they said they are not ready to audition for us yet. I just wanted to share with my friends here. biggrin.gif

That's the coolest thing I think I've ever heard. She certainly chose well! I hope you get them jamming on a video! Put it up on youtube and share!

Wow, that's so cool! For some reason I was somewhat expecting you to say she came out with a shred guitar or something. laugh.gif

Wow, this is so inspiring! smile.gif
They chose well - I have an electro acoustic by Squire and I love it's sound. This is so cool - I hope I'll be still playing when I'm 66.
It just proves that you can achieve anything you want - with just a little practice.

I've been curious about this today. What was it that sparked their interest? Was it yours & Laura's playing for them, the "kid in the candy store (Guitar Center)", both of these combined or something else?

Just wondering. blink.gif
