I come home from school. I eat a bit. I rest a bit. I play on the pc abit and make homework. then its evening! In the evening, around 10 I get this urge to play the guitar soo bad. I also get most inspiration at this point. In the evening, I feel like it is not something I HAVE to do. It's odd ^^ But the problem is, I can't turn the amp up since we have neighbours and.... parents who watch tv... damn them! biggrin.gif So I really want a pod! The x3 or Xt ,is too expensive , it's around 400 euro's . But the pod II is only 130 and I tested it and I looove it! I was wondering, could I download patches to the pod II?

Maybe buy toneport GX, it is cheap something like 70 euro. It works great for me.

You can try buying the pod off eBay. I bought my pod XT for 160$ shipped it came in perfect condition, box manual and everything smile.gif I'm sure there are some for even cheaper now.

edit: oh you can try getting the pandora, never used it but heard it is good.

If you wanna use it for home practice and recording on your computer then perhaps it is better to get a Toneport. Check out my review here.

I know Ivan! But I want to be able to play without plugging it in the pc. Since you need to have the toneport connected to the pc to hear yourself play and to use the effects.

If you don't play bass and you don't sing, or you don't use a mic for your amp... I'd say that the POD XT would be great smile.gif. I have the X3 and it allows me to record bass and voice but as for guitar it's really close to the pod Xt

I too think you should get a Toneport GX. I have a POD 2.0, and ever since I got the Toneport...the POD sits on my shelf! The Toneport GX is all I use now!

You could also get a Line 6 guitarport , similar toe the tone port. Plugs into pc, tons of patches online, All amp models & effects you could dream of.
Best bit of kit I bought. cheap too at about £60 uk pounds.

Got mine on ebay

I've got a PODXT and i found that pretty soon patches you just want to make your own patches instead of downloading them off customtone.com. What im saying is that if you like the POD II, but it doesnt download patches (dont know if it doesnt) its not a big deal.

Matt32 is right, you actually don't need any patches from the web. You will make your own patches 95% of the time.

Pod II/Pocketpod (both use pod 2 custom tones) sound nice trough headphones. Problem with patches is that they might sound different depending on the guitar you use, so don't expect them to be extreamly good, as already mentioned you'll probably have to tweak them a bit.
