I got one of those big Volume Knobs that I was going on about with Mertay a bit back. GOOD NEWS!! It does not mess with audio quality in any way, shape or form. It connects via usb and does not pass any audio through it of any kind. It just controls whatever is set as your main audio device on output. E.G. Your interface/sound card output. It's very handy. It's got steel housing and a blue LED light around it whenever you turn knobs, the light comes on. It's far more spiff than I even hoped. You just reach for it and you can turn your master volume ouput up or down at a moments notice. Attached Image

At first I read the title as "Extremal" biggrin.gif
This knob reminds me of the famous big red button nobody's supposed to touch.

It must be really helpful. I know from my experience that I'd find use for it myself but the only thing I have is on my headset's cable. It's hard to reach when I'm playing guitar.

I was happy to find out that it didn't do anything nasty to the sound. It could have given me a nasty suprise. Mertay seemed pretty convinced about it so I started to wonder. "Is this thing gonna mess with my output/tone/signal?" or mess with my daw levels?
Thank goodness it works as advertised. When my iconnect 4+ is set as my sound card, it just turns the master volume up and down. Simple and efficient. The blue led light comes on when you turn the knob. The steel housing is nice, I was worried it would feel cheap. Feels solid as a rock. For $35, it's a steal!!! Very smooth action as well. NO DRIVERS REQUIRED! Just plug and play.

It's very handy indeed. My iconnect has a knob on it, but it's out of the way to reach it as it's on a stand to the right of my desk. This thing sits right next to my trackball/mouse so it's right there when needed. I don't know how I got by without it!!
