GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Great Christmas Present For Anyone Who Wants To Record Fun Good Quality Videos

http://www.yoostar.com/splash.html

check that out.

it costs $170 USD

what it does it come with?

- large green screen with the stand
-decent quality camera
-10-40 gigs of software and green screen add ons

the purpose of this is originally to put yourself into the movies, but i think it would make for a great video recording set up for GMC videos. You can purchase high quality backgrounds for the green screen online.

its a really cool idea, especially if you are just starting to record!

check it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkOyAIRGwas

the bugs the guy mentions in the video have all been fixed so ive heard, he was reviewing a prototype and contrary to what he says, the $170 includes a studio grade web cam.

i personally think its a good deal because:

a good webcam = $70-100
the green screen with stand is usually $100
and the software is usually $30-60

So cool... I might get that, if I will have money left for this stuff... looks good smile.gif

With a green screen and chroma key effect, all kinds of cool things can be done with video. cool.gif That does look like a pretty cool package.

after doing more research,

it looks like the bugs have been worked out, and everything runs smoother,

HOWEVER,

the only negative side is the software. It isnt a video editing software like i thought, so you are limited to making scenes they have for you.

the camera will work as a regular web cam so you can buy a cheaper green screen software and use that, so beware (this is only for the copywrited stuff like movie scenes)

so if you think $170 is still worth it for a camera and green screen then this will be a good buy.

ALSO one more note:

i hear you can save videos to the desktop, but you can upload them...im not sure if this was a beta issue or not so beware.

Here is a good tutorial using the Chroma Key. If have Vegas or Adobe Elements or something of the sort, along with a camera, all you need is the green screen.

And the biggest drawback, it doesn't run on a Mac biggrin.gif...

so, not for me then... smile.gif

Not sure if they ship internationally but I'm sure you can find something similar in Sweden..

hehehe this looks like a fun package to fiddle around but I don't think its good for guitar videos etc! Better get a good cheap camcorder and cheap green screen background (if you really need one) smile.gif

But its a cool idea to include movie scenes so you can drop in and act smile.gif

Try this company Staffay, the site says they ship off shore of the UK so may be able to get one through them..
