GMC Forum _ Introduce Yourself ! _ Howdy From Kentucky

Posted by: KRnlKilR May 9 2007, 05:41 AM

Hi,

I have been strumming guitar for about 10 years, but never seemed to get beyond open and barr chords. Now I have found GMC, and hoping that I can move beyond just chords and actually do some soloing and improvisation.

A few things I find that I have problems with include getting my fingers to drop back on the correct string when following a circular pattern, and picking up the speed when alternate picking. I'm sure these improve with time, just hope they don't take too long.

Things I find of interest besides guitar include singing in a Barbershop quartet, hiking, camping and Geocaching. I'm such a geek! Even though I am from Kentucky, I do own several pairs of shoes, and all my teeth are my own.

Anyways, thanks to Kris for creating GMC, and looking forward to learning a lot.
