fretless ? i dont know if its hard to play on that one cause we will have many tones as 1/4 tones
thats nice for our arabic music we uses a 1/4 tones in our scales (maqams).
also many designs from bass collections .

I really want to try one of those Vigier fretless guitars. I've seen a lot of clips with Ron Thal (Bumblefoot) playing one, and he sure knows how to use it.

it seems like you would have no sustain with those guitars. think about it. the string would not have a metal fret to sit on, all the vibrations would be muted by your finger. thats why fretless string instruments (i.e. cello, violin etc.) are all played with a bow.
