Hi guys! What do you think of Buckethead? Do you like his style?
I think that he has an amazing shredding technique and a really good sense of melody... what's your opinion?

I love many of his tracks. Others are way too shreddy and un-melodic.

That example is one of my favourites, check out Padmasana too.

By the way, we miss any Buckethead lesson's at GMC, hin hint! wink.gif

He's probably my favorite guitarist. I've seen him live twice and both times it was a great show. I agree with Fran he can be out there, but to me there isn't no bad Buckethead, just some better than others! laugh.gif

Many of his songs are awesome, and can be hits if vocals were inserted instead of lead melody, but I think they are not that popular outside of guitar circles because they have lots of shredding, which is not that pleasing to everyone. It's awesome to hear such an amazing technique tho! smile.gif

Great videos!! Are you working on some of his stuff? Studying his techniques? I found this video where he shows his most shreddy side...

His shreddy style is very influenced by Paul Gilbert... so you could start with some AP exercises from him!

Thats around 20 years old I believe, I've never seen anything newer. I've heard rumors if you see him live he sets everything up himself. Both times I saw him the guy who set the stage was no where near as tall as him.
