Hey guys,
I just figured out (with Canis´s help biggrin.gif) how to use one´s audio interface as the microphone in MSN. This allows to jam via MSN.

Who wants to play a bit now? smile.gif
My adress: chxxxill_txxxolek at hotmail.com (without x)

Cheers,
Tolek

let us know how this works.

I've tried this via skype and the lag prevented it from being useful.

I play quite frequently with a friend over skype with mic and camera... we cant play "together", but you can play one after the other, showing eachother licks and such... its actually quite good

if anyone finds a way to do this in real time, simultaneously, that'd be awesome!

I've never heard of anyone being able to do simultaneous real time playing though. You did this with zero lag?

Thanks. We just finsihed. smile.gif It was great. At the end the connection was cut frequently. sad.gif
We can try it with video to see what happens. I think that the audio will be affected. And video isn´t necessary... Sometimes it´s cool to see someone else, but to jam, we only need audio. smile.gif

I use pyro in all my jams. So I want to be seen.

Besides my playing isnt so good. I need the visual effect.

Doing some solo trade offs over a backing would be cool. What did you guys do?

A GMC jam channel would be cool. Like the chat thing....

Why would that be impossible? You are feeding your guitar sound into your PC somehow, just add a mp3 playing at the same time.

Are you micing an amp? Running direct?

No, it won´t work. I have one signal going from my UX1 unit via MSN to my jam partner. If I´d play a backing track, he wouldn´t hear it, just my playing.
