Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Tadas!

This is a killer take mate. Your hands look relaxed, your hand sync is perfect and everything sound tight, clean and clear. I've done some a/b comparison and I will share the differences that I've noted:

- Your take has more gain.
- Darius' take is more dynamic.

Both things are related and in this case, it's just a matter of taste. Yngwie would use a tone similar to yours for this, while Vinnie Moore would go more for a tone like the one used by Darius.

I'll give you a 9 just because there is some room to improve dynamics.

GREAT JOB!

Wow if you can keep this tone as you improve your speed you will be bale to blow us away with spectacular runs!

When you shift positions there is a slight drop in tone which probably happens because your hands are not quite as synced. This is most audible around 00:43

You have practiced picking here with a staggering attention to detail, congrats!

Hey there!

This is a very good take! Tonal things are always subjective. Unless you really got far from tone preference of the lesson, the tone doesn't affect the grade much. I like to use more of soft crunch that makes dynamics to be exposed clearer. I also do a lot of accenting - especially on the strokes that cover drum beats (at least in this lesson). I like your precision and equality of pick pressure that makes notes sound even.

If I had to point anything that would make it sound even better it would be the timming...but to clarify - you seemsd to be even with yourself. Sometimes I can hear like you would like to push it a little in front of the beat (rush) but the you stretch the lick and go back to proper timing. It is very subtle but it is audible that you try to play little faster than thge track needs to smile.gif

Weel done. Well deserved high grades,
