Woke Up With Ringing Ears

Feb 13 2008, 12:36 PM	GMC:er Posts: 1.197 Joined: 19-April 07 From: Wiltshire, England	This morning i woke up with ringing ears and it's the first time it has ever happened to me so i'm quite worried. Yesterday i remember my left ear was starting to hurt a little so i went easy on it, and as far as i remember when i went to bed last night it was fine there was no ringing or anything. However this morning it was very noticeable that my left ear was ringing, just the left though. I thought maybe it's how i'd slept or something or maybe if i get up, clean it have a shower etc it'll go away i just thought maybe i'm tired. I clean my ears frequently but still have a build up of wax that I need touse olive oil to get rid of. You're in England so I advise going to the NHS Walk In Centre and asking them and they will be able to tell you if your ear is blocked with wax. You can then use Olive Oil and it should go. Be carful about the ears, if it's ringing that may be a sign you're doining something too loud. If' it's hurting you could have counth an inflammation. Always rehearse with earplugs! You mean you just pour olive oil in your ears and that's that? Well i do listen to loud music but not for long periods of time like some people. I got up, quite late, put on music for a bit, went out and got some lunch, watch a dvd in which the TV wasn't loud. Went in my room to practice for a bit, changed the strings because they snapped . Had to go to work and then when i finished which was about half 9 came back practiced for a little bit and the volume wasn't high and listened to music a bit before i went to bed. You shouldn't use cotton buds really as they can be dangerous. Just a little olive oil in each ear keeps the wax gone. It sounds silly I know but ask your doctor or an NHS place and that is what they'll say. I'll tell you now it'll either be 1) Listening to loud music, band practice, gigs etc. 2) Ear Infection (Would be painful) 3) Build up of wax deep in ear that is blocking and pressing against inner ear causing ringing (Olive Oil cure) You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. It didn't happen because something was too loud though, I hit my head on a concrete wall(don't ask how; it just happened) then they started ringing. And Tinnitus is a companion for life But hear me, steve has ringing ears and cures it with olive oil and Tuubsu got ringing ears after hitting his head onto a concrete wall and shrugs it off. Why don't you go see a specialist about it, see if it's something that can be fixed? There's no reason waiting with that, mind if it's something that could be cured with antibiotics but instead of aquireing help waiting 6 months could scar and damage the eardrum leaving it impossible to mend. It is very soft in nature and doesn't cause irritation and will softly weaken the wax and eventually it will clear up. It takes about 5 days of use before it will be clear if it's bad. You can buy olive oil for about 75p so it isn't a problem and I'd also buy a cheap applicator from Boots. It's the best way to clean ears. Lie on one side and put two drops in and lie there for a few minutes. Don't dab with kitchen roll apart from round the ear. Then turn over and do the other side.
