Free program I came across just yesterday. It's basically Photoshop for free and much more user friendly. Overnight I made these two things for fun, pretty easy to pick up and learn.

Wow. I'd like to know how you did that. I never did figure out GIMP. A friend of mine introduced it to me a few years back.

I recently started to use gimp to modify some of the graphics in the computer games I play. Its pretty cool to use but can be a little tricky to get the hang of at first. If you do a search on youtube for gimp how to videos, they can be a great help Also, if you are familiar with adobe photoshop, you can probably pick up gimp pretty quickly, since many of the features are the same.

GIMP is killer! It started out on LINUX and runs on everything now. It's very powerful and Open Source! A fine choice and well done on the graphics! Post a tutorial!

That's a great program as an alternative for PS, and it's free. I know some companies that use it in order to cut the costs down, no one wants to pay PS if there are these programs, so unless you are professional and need "heavy-weight" stuff, this can do the job nicely.
