Well, now I start working with the "Exploring guitar", a free program to do the diagrams and it's great, now I'm able to do a complete diagram in few seconds, hehe, but it has a problem. This was that the neck was very different than instructors usually use, so I was thinking how to resolve this problem and I decided to paint a new diagram that works in this program and that was as similar as the GMC one.
Well, just dowload the program, and to change the freatboard just copy my diagram in the folder GRAPHICS (well it's not ecesary to put in this folderm but I think it's the best place to put it ) and in the program click in 'guitar neck' and 'load new guitar neck' and then choose my freatboard )
Here is my diagram:
..ah, and I put www.guitarmasterclass.net
Here is the http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-lessons/exploring-guitar-software-tutorial
ah, the 88 and 87 is the % in the size reduction that I need to obtain the 692x125 (which is the size for the diagrams in the lessons )
Looks great Juan, any chance to get 24 frets version?
I don't seem to understand man... Do you have some sort of program for generating scales?
Can we use the program or something?
thanks Marcus !!! yeah, of course, all who wants can use it, I'm gonna edit first post and tell you wat to do to change the freatboard
2 examples:
Well, can we use these new templates? I mean they are s little different than those before, but these look just as nice, and it will boost our productivity for sure.
mmm I supose that we can use this templates... well, with the dimensions 692x125... but is Kris who may say it
Seems to be a cool software, I will also experiment a bit with it I guess
I like the both views, but especialy the second one which can help memorizing intervals
yeah, now it's easier for me to do this diagrams so if it's easier for someone else I will be happy
I'll try this new diagrams too Juan. THanks for the tip!
yeah, I like to seem my diagrams in your lessons Now it's really easy to paint the scales !!! (it was the worse work for me )
Hmm,there's only one thing
How do you export jpeg?
Printscreen or?
Another thing,I cannot import your template into EG Juan,
says invalid file type,am I missing something?
print screen... maybe for the next version but now it's not posible to export directly to jpg
My bad,I downloaded PNG version,BMP is fine,sorry.
Oh, now it's al ok, isn't it ???
Good found Juan! I think the scale diagrams in http://www2.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guitar/country-bluegrass-solo-advanced/ work - so if you want to speed things up with this software it sounds like an excellent idea!
Very cool Juan - really increases productivity!
Excellent!
I'm definetly going to use this if it's got the ok signal
Thanks Juan!
This is awesome and saves em a lot of time! :-)
yeah, thanks you for writing !!!
Uhm, Juan man, I can't properly use the software, because that custom fretboard is not the same as the one in the program. The one in the program is some like "curved" and I can't set the dots properly. Did you have a similar issue?
Thanks Juan! I'll try it!
I found this too, but you need to pick the alternate notes as well and it works fine!
(Away from my home PC at the moment so I canlt give you the exact steps)
Just click on:
Guitar Neck (Menu) --> Load new more buttons --> NewNotes
and that's all
I don't understand really... WHen I press load new notes it asks for .ini file. What should I do?
search in the sub-folder graphics (in the folder Exploring Guitar)
Got it!
Thanks a lot for sharing Juan, software is great.
yeah, thanks to you I hope all is ok now
