He Who Marks The Fall Of The Gods
Terrestrial Inversion

Love seeketh not itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a Heaven in Hell's despair.

---William Blake

~Pandemic~
Sickening
Horrific
Grotesque
Mephitic
Pandemic of war

God has left them all to rot
To wither in the barren, muddy moors

Deadly
Venomous
Virulent
Baneful
Plagues of perversion

When man clashes with the throne in the sky
The cosmos will shake under a Terrestrial Inversion

As a nomad he shall creep ever closer
He shall exact his revenge
With the memory of his fathers home, and his mothers death
He will be the wound upon this gods chest

Leaving all the loved ones back at home
Vagabond by night, His face shall never be known

The ones he gives his life for will mourn for him
For his fate to live or die, Has never been for certain

When the sun sets, and the night brings that eerie silence
Is when Animus shall emerge from the slow breathing darkness
Across the courtyard and to the garden of the gods
Slowly moving with the shadows, Without sound or beating heart

The dethroning is at hand

SOLO

~The Dethroning~
The castle afloat on the clouds edging space
Will be the grounds upon which the usurpation
The dethroning of a god, will take place

The doors 100 feet high, Creek open as a voice of caution
Animus covered in blood, Walks in as if an earthly deity
The god crones his head, “Who brings this intrusion?”

Oh father, Father, Father of mine
I am your abandoned and hated son
The one who comes to bring your justly demise

The god laughs and brings forth his blade
“If it’s a battle you want my son,
Then from you your life I will gladly take”

For hours, For days
For weeks, And for months
Did this battle between man and god
Shake the heavens and the earth
Beneath its mighty quake

Both showered in the others blood
But only one is willing to die
As Animus enters a moment of weakness
He feels the sting, The incision of steel
Crimson violet river flows like a flood

On the edge of space, Suspended by blades through his chest
Animus was prepared to die, To finally from this forced dream wake
As the god prepared to drop him to the crying earth below
A vision of his mother, Made his heart pump, and divine blood flow

He grabbed his arms, and pulled himself along the sword
Up to the hilt he was forced
And from his hidden sheath he revealed a blade
And with one final cry he swung the blade, Beheaded the god
And lifelessly plunged to the earth, From this dream
He could finally wake

~The Mourning (Spoken)~

The body fell from the heavens, And plunged lifelessly into the river. The same river he was sent down as a boy, and the same river his mothers body died in. But...Upon seeing his sacrifice for his people, a display of complete selflessness, The gods of the cosmos shed a tear for the first time since creation began, And resurrected his soul from the afterlife, He would forever rule over the world he fought so hard to protect.....As a god.

So this is the conclusion to the story, and as long as it is, It is a lot shorter to explain. Basically, the main character, Animus, finally leaves his home to hunt down the god that is enslaving earth. He climbs all the way to the top of the heavens and finally confronts the god, His biological father as well. In the battle that ensues, he is pierced in the heart, and the god hangs him above the earth to fall and die, but before he does so, Animus grabs the gods by his arms, pulls himself up the blade, all the way to the hilt, and in one fell swoop, beheads him. Using all his strength, he falls to the earth anyway, And dies.
