Not much info now but as I understand amplitube 4 is being prepared (probably will be released winter) but before that happens Mesa amp sim.s for amplitube 3 will be released soon. They are probably officially accepted from the company like Carvin, Orange, Fender etc. (most of the better stuff amplitube has offered till now);

This looks interesting, I really wonder how it will sound!? Are there any demos out there?
The price is a bit considerably, especially since currently the pre-order price is active but on the other hand with these sims, I never went for diversity myself rather finding a setup or two which really works and sounds good considering the nature of digital emulation/modeling.

So far this is all I can find. They don't even mention if it's the plugin sound or just some backing from before. If it is the plugin, it's not blowing me away. The ENGL from plugin alliance sounded a bit more OOOOMPHY to me smile.gif

Yeah thats probably the plug-in sound although multitrack stuff I can still notice the stuff where amplitube tech fails (on distortion) biggrin.gif

But aside from that, judging from previous stuff (carvin, fender...) their sampling favors clean sound anyway...can sound really good with preferred ir's rather than bundled.

The market today demands distortion from Mesa (which to me started to bore me...) though many of their users don't past overdrive. I'm sure good sounds can come from some combinations from those knobs but not very sure if there's any chance it can be better than scuffham version.

The bundle price does feel its not competitive enough but maybe individually (and maybe in time) the amp may have some price benefits, meanwhile since its "mesa approved" it wouldn't hurt to demo them when released although I'm not expecting to get surprised smile.gif

It's pretty good but I expected to be really blown away, ya know? I can get heavier tone than this out of my TH2 plugin it seems sad.gif

Its actually pretty good considering previous releases, most users comment the best ever. If this is the last amplitube 3 release I'd say its a nice goodbye smile.gif

Settings suggest it can be driven harder, but the tech. they use lose the organic vibe after a threshold. Instead of pre-gain, it reacts better to drive like a not boosting but drive pushed ds1, ocd etc...

Amplitube owners can't afford not buying this, but ik multimedia learned the hard way what the majority of customers actually wanted (specially after competitors releases).
