Posted by: Déjà vu Jul 11 2009, 12:57 AM

Oh man! Is there anyway you can be reimbursed? sad.gif

Posted by: Muris Varajic Jul 11 2009, 01:06 AM

Posted by: Marc_Maiden Jul 11 2009, 01:06 AM

i called them, they said that they cant give me any credit until they either here from UPS or get the package back...i think it would have been easier to get the damaged package and return it in store...but oh well it didnt even reach my house lol...

so now its going to be at least 5 days or so, so i wont be able to be in the guitar masters competition sad.gif

Posted by: sted Jul 11 2009, 10:50 AM

That blows, I'm so sorry man sad.gif

I'll extend the deadline a week, so you can get a recording for the competition smile.gif
I should probably ask Kris or Andrew..
But since I consider myself the competitionmaster, I'll just make that decision biggrin.gif

Ooof! I've been there, except I found out when FedEx dropped it off at my door looking like it had just been run over by a truck...twice. Sorry bro, it's hard to be patient when at times like this. We're all with you.

You should have gotten the carvin! No, I'm just kidding.

I'm sorry to hear this man sad.gif It looks from the details that it just happened as it was getting so close too. But these things happen, just a little lost time in the end.

Did you talk with them? How's the situation now?

Posted by: fkalich Jul 11 2009, 08:55 PM

I agree. Should have gotten the Belair, or even two fo them. I would take this as a sign from God, to quote Stonewall Jackson "`He who does not see the hand of God in this is blind, sir, blind!'"

Although I will say this, I see you got it from MF. Kansas took care of you, it was those dope smoking CA delivery guys who dropped it.

edit: GC and MF are really the same company for all practical purposes (except accounting), they ship from the same places.

im going to GC tomorrow to see if they can just give me one since it never got to my house, and its already on its way back....

on sharp note, i dont have an amp to use it with hahaha

I think that Guitar Center will give you a solution. It's not your fault at all.

Title to property in such a consumer purchase can not even pass to the buyer until it arrives at their door. So you can't have liability for an item that you have never even owned.

For title to pass to a buyer during shipment, certain specific conditions must be made (which never happens on such purchases). Even if a seller (as some Ebay sellers) states that he has no liability for damage in shipment, that is immaterial. That has as much legal weight as me getting drunk and driving my car yelling out the window "I have no liability for anyone I kill on the street!".

That being said, major internet sellers such as GC (and sister companies such as MF), American Musical, the others, are very great with customers. They have to be to an extent, for example, they have to accept returns in good condition for 30 days. But beyond that, these outfits really are great about service, reliability.

I can't imagine what could have happened to it on the truck, those things are well packaged to withstand bumps and bruises. I wonder if it fell out of the truck? Anyway, so sorry for your bad luck. Nothing is quite so disappointing as gear that is delayed.

While it is understandable that they would have hired some guy named Bevis, they really should have checked the references more carefully before they hired someone named Butthead.
