I just got a PreSonus FireStudio Project as an early christmas present and found this deal online. Thought i would share

i'm gonna be sending away for mine tomorrow.

I'll probably write up a review of the FireStudio Project in a few months. It seems really cool but was a bit of a pain to get working correctly in windows (got a few crashes and BSOD errors wh ile messing with settings).

Looks like a very nice piece of kit man0mule and a nice early present smile.gif = PreSonus make nice stuff smile.gif .

General comment - with any kit download and use the latest drivers of the manufacturer's website not the ones on the install disk - particularly true for fw and USB. Sometimes with firewire it can make a difference if you follow exactly the manufacturers installation sequence - particularly when you connect and turn on wrt to installing the drivers - may not be the case for you but on some does make a difference. Other bit is to use the 6 pin rather then 4 pin firewire connection if possible - flaky power can mess up a firewire installation. Other bit is whether you connect via the fsb or direct to the mobo - though that is largely more a USB rather than fw issue.

Good that you have it working fine though - enjoy mate.
Cheers,
Tony
