I hoped it wasn’t real…but it is…
We keep on falling hoping to get out and see the smile we love
Climbing the stairs to the top while fighting darkness once more
Hoping she’s waiting for us…
Grabbing all the good memories we can.

But we wake up knowing we are in the dark
Alone…
Imagining her, smiling at what we’ve done for her
She sees the light of her life…While we see the dark without her
And just when we think we’ve come out of it…It appears again
We are defeated…

All the memories…are just illusions for us to smile
When she’s down, we fight for her happiness instead of our own
Against our friends we fight…because love is more powerful
Still dreaming of her…
We fall again…Looking at her from the bottom
Surrounded by our own tears of hope
We try to find all who can help
Still remembering what we’ve done for her
And so we fight…For the light…
For what we believe…
Our dreams…Will go blank, and we will fall
Again…Drowning in our thoughts…
Still climbing to the top as we speak
Imagining our world…
The beautiful sight of our dreams
Of her love for us…
Never give up, never surrender…
All the words, all what we’ve accomplished
We’ve reached the top…
But yet…None of it is real
Is it?

In short, this is really good. I read it once and it didnt strike me that hard, But as I thought about it. I realized this song could be seen from about a million different points of view. The female you refer to could easily represent ones hopes and dreams, lost loved ones, or an unaccomplished goal or some driven ambition. Excellent work, especially the end line "Is it?". Although questioning, those two words seemed directed at the reader, As if you know it isnt, but you are asking that of us as well. Good job.

Since most of the stuff you've seen from me is my Sci-fi side (Which is about 85% of what I write). I wanted to show you something that almost the opposite.
