ok, as the topic title says here is the thread to get your sign ups in for the MTP in March.

as requested by a couple of members I have asked on the Instructor boards for all Instructors willing to take part in the next MTP to reply so this time we have a list of available Instructors for you to choose from.

Instructors available are as follows :

Ivan Milenkovic
Gabriel Leopardi
Adrian Figallo
Daniel Realpe
Emir Hot
Pedja Simovic
Bogdan Radovic
Luciana Segovia (Vocal MTP)
Jerry Arcidiacono
Lian Gerbino
Laszlo Boross
Ramiro Delforte
Gerardo Siere

As last time there is no requirement for you to post a video of your playing or any detail of your goals etc, just register yourself with your chosen Instructor (from the above list) in this thread.

**please be aware that you must be able to record yourselves both for video and audio in order for your mentor to help you, if you cannot provide either you will not be able to continue your MTP**

Important Changes for this and future phases of the MTP

This will of course (as all changes) may well not prove too popular to begin with but in order for the MTP to remain in its current form we have had to introduce this change.

The MTP runs on a three month cycle, every three months we open a sign up thread for members to assign themselves to a participating instructor, so far members already assigned to an Instructor have been able to continue into the next quarter or at this point change to another instructor if they so wish.

For now and future phases this will no longer be the case, members will no longer be able to continue on or change to another Instructor at these points, however, after a three month break they will be able to sign up again.

So to simplify it will be a three months on and three months off rotation.

I appreciate this will not be popular but we have had to do this to allow everyone the chance and oppotunity to be involved with the program, it may well be that this may change in the future but for now this is the only way we can keep the MTP exsisting.

Many thanks for your patients and understanding.

Hi everyone. I'd like to try the MTP program with Emir Hot, for I've watch a lot of his videos when he was working with some students on the previous MTP cycle. I like a lot of different styles, and neoclassical is one of them. But most of all, I wish to improve my knowledge of the guitar board and learn how to use scales.
Cheers ! smile.gif

I've been off MTP since November, so I guess this is time then to come back, after 3 months break.

I would like to start again with Emir Hot.

If possible I would like also to start singing MTP with Luciana (though guitar is priority if I can only keep one).

I would love to take part in Marches MTP.

I'd like either Emir, Pedja or Ivan (although i'm sure all instructors are equally as awesome).

That is sad news, but understandable. I have learned so much from Pedja so far, but this three months will be a good opportunity to practice and expand on what he has taught me, give me a solid foundation for the next phase.

It says that this counts from now and every future phase of MTP..
I think this means that those of us who were in the MTP the last few months are able to sign up again right?..

Hi, I'm in and wanna be taught by Ivan smile.gif the last time I took part in the MTP wasn't that great (ofc because of me!), but I think now I've got a better plan of what guitar practising means and which techniques I need to learn smile.gif

Hmmm, this is kinda bad news, even that I clearly understand the situation here. The good news for me is that I have been out of the MTP for three months already. I don't consider this to be really fair imo. since many of the students doesn't complete their assignments/fulfilling the MTP - hence, leaving people out from the MTP that would have done so. In my last MTP with Ivan for an example, it was only me and one more that completed the MTP (was it You Kaz, cant remember...). Couldn't the MTP be done with some sort of "stand-by" list for people that have been involved before and succeeded with their missions??? (since a lot of people seems to drop-off already in the first month)

//Staffay

EDIT: Oh, I forgot, I had a great MTP with Ivan, but this time I would prefer Pedja or Emir if possible, otherwise I will be happy to stay with Ivan!

not a suggestion or anything but was thinking it would have been fairer if people who had completed all assignments be able to continue but if they didn't, they drop out and others be able to take over. I am sure hardly 2-3 people have completed all assignments / REC takes... most just drop out or get busy on their own stuff.

anyway, looks like i'll have to be on my own now. had hopes i could continue.

I do agree with this point of view. Not that I am concerned, but if there really is a few people doing all their "homework", why make them stop the MTP.
My 2 cents... smile.gif

Oh no mad.gif mad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

This is understandable but the committed students who have shown good work ethic in the past should be included in there.
All the very best to the new batch.
Vocal mtp has inconsistent rules, so I suggest reviewing those before signing up the new batch for it.

Now if you all can excuse me, I gotta go hit somethin ph34r.gif

Chris, I'd like to sign up with Ivan if it's at all possible. Only thing is that I still don't have Video facility right at this moment but will hopefully be rectifying that situation in the next week or two! If this rules me out then that's fine as I'll definitely be sorted for the next round in June!

I would be interested in signing up with either Pedja Simovic or Ivan Milenkovic.

I'm looking on working on my jazz improvising/chord melodies but am also happy to work on blues & modes mixed up with some cool funk stuff.

If there isn't room I'd happily sign up with any tutor (although I think I could make the singing tutor quit!!!)

I'm not a speed monster but I will try my best smile.gif There is always stuff to learn from new styles...

is there a sticky which outlines whats expected assignment wise?

thanks
