The tone here is indeed similar to Timmons, but it's not him.

Yeah, Balducci has a similar style in his blues-oriented songs. In the thread's sound clip the horizontal vibrato moves were trademark Greg Howe (although George Lynch has used this technique in the early 80s as well). Greg is an amazing improviser, and this track has some killer licks.
