We (in southern Finland) had first real snow on beginning of January but now it's slowly melting away...

So far here is dark grey and heavy raining, last time it snowed in this specific part of the country..hmm was like 8-10 years ago and that was like the first time in 50 or so years.

On the opposite side, i went to the beach the other day we had some good 8-14m waves. Looks pretty scary though ohmy.gif

Alright! I will let you know smile.gif I don't know when it will happen yet, but it is very possible, so I will keep you informed wink.gif I've been in Warsaw in 2012 to meet the same guys I am seeing now. I have created an application together with them and things have taken a very interesting turn (in the good way) for the product so we have to discuss the future..

I saw on the news last night that the cold was going to continue down there in the lower 48 states, at least in the midwest and east coast. When that Polar Vortex first started a few weeks ago, we were getting warm and moist tropic air via the jet stream coming up from down around Hawaii, A Pineapple Express we call it, and not uncommon. This was moisture that Cali usually would get, sorry Cali. We hit 47 F or 8.3 C and Anchorage made it up to 53 F / 11.7 C I think. We got a bunch of rain and really made a mess of things up here with the snow melting off. But now we are back to normal, 0 F or -17.7 C this morning (Although we should reach the mid 20's today)and very dry. There is actually a red flag warning for fire danger currently due to dry conditions and wind. You can see in these pics that all the snow that was on the lake is gone except for whats left of the snowbanks on either side of my ice road, but those snowbanks are solid and you can walk right on top of them without sinking in , the same goes for the snow in the yard.

Alright Darius biggrin.gif We shall see at the right time! biggrin.gif

Anyway, the snow in my yard is pretty darn big - about 60-70cm in height as a medium value, but I built a little mountain with my dad when we shoveled the snow which is approximately 2 meters high biggrin.gif
