In chat, someone spoke of a new hard drive and there followed the usual "In my day, we only had ..." discussion. From small hard drives to NO hard drives, floppies, and (eventually) tape drives.

Then this showed up in my twitter feed:

Wow cool! And before tape recorders we only had Lego laugh.gif

I hope for their sake they had the Lego parts computer animated and not what it looked like, one frame shot at a time. That's tideous work, did it myself in a couple animations... when I was younger ofc.

Somewhere in teh video description I read "1500 hours of lego work" so I think it is actually stop motion animation, frame by frame.

Press Play on Tape are great! Especially if you're into geeking out out consoles and games as they usually make covers of game themes smile.gif

The cabinets here called it "Karate Champ" I think, and it was like the original face to face martial arts game, yeah. I dunno what the voice quality was like where you saw these but the ones here were pretty bad.

"haff point. red."
"bgin!"

etc.

Ha, I thought no one else knew about these guys tongue.gif I've had a copy of their monkey island theme for some time. They're pretty awesome. By the way, the new monkey island remake and new series are both great.
