In case anyone missed it - we have a very special techno lesson by Ramiro today!

This leads us to today's question: The guitar has found its way into many unexpected music genres: opera, dance/ techno, and religious music. Since the arrival of the electric (1930's) many musical genres have adapted to its arrival. Where do you feel like it has had its biggest influence? Is there a music genre where you think the guitar doesn't belong at all?

It's a proven fact that guitar faces have a bigger impact on tone than wood does.

Biggest influence in rock and metal music in general. But I guess you can introduce guitar into any music genre. It only depends how much the guitar will be heard and what it will play. Guitar is an instrument, it can play notes, it's a tool for expression of the artist, so it can be used in various ways in any music genre.

I think guitar doesn't belong in "screamo" music. "But then screamo wouldn't exist without guitar?" you say .... my point exactly wink.gif
