I'm Matt
I'm older than I like to admit to!
I live in Ireland but from the UK originally
I've been playing for years and years but mainly as an accompaniment to vocals so I really need to get woodshedding on my technique.
I was drawn here for the Rock/Hard Rock bias, I love the In the Style of Rise Against, one of my favourite bands
I lead a worship band at my local church, and play as loud and hard as we can, we're only a 3 piece so don't go for the fancy arrangements, more of a punk approach.
My Gear hates me for being such a hack
Tyler Burning Water 2K
Burny Super Reale 1983 (Les Paul Style)
Fender US Tele with BK pile drivers
Axe Fx Ultra
Hi Matt!! Welcome to the site! I really like those type of bands! I could see Rise against live the last year. I'm working on Punk lessons, some of these lessons are live and some other are in progress.
Check my personal profile and there you'll find all my lessons. Some of my favourite of this style are:

You can also check my band. We are not exactly punk but we have some influences from it and also from New Metal, Alternative and many others.
Ok man, welcome again! I hope that you enjoy the site!

Welcome to GMC, Matt! You're gonna love it here!
Welcome to GMC Matt Cool story.. after a while, you'll be the loudest, heaviest, most technically able church band around !
Hey man! Welcome to GMC! Let us know what you need so that you may feel like home here What do you say if tonight I would invite you to join us at the video chat I'm hosting at 8 o clock PM London time! We'll be talking about open chords tonight! See you around Matt!
Thanks for the warm welcomes guys.
I'll definitely be making use of the REC facility, so you'll be hearing from me.
I'm seeing a lot of lesson that interest me and are showing me plenty of things I'm missing from my playing. At least this winter my fingers will be warm!!!
I'll try and make time to join in the live video chats, I definitely need to work on time management as well as my guitar playing!
Welcome man! I hope you get the most out of GMC
How's that Axe FX working for you?
Welcome!!!
welcome to the site man, i gotta admit i love your gear, thinking about getting an Axe Fx for myself, how is it yours?
and it's very nice to see a BKP user
The Axe Fx is awesome and a life saver for the situation I'm in, I can bring in soft pad like patches and go straight into a Marsha BE patch etc.
I've had it for 3 year now and my amp and pedal board have just been gathering dust. I think it's time to sell them and get a decent pc for recording, my laptop is complaining!
I'll admit I'm not the greatest at dialling in sounds on it, but luckily there are many skilled and generous people out there that are.
The Axe Fx II looks really enticing but I'm quite happy with Ultra, plus I'd never get the wife to agree!
