So, now there's another problem with my audio interface.. blink.gif It has probably been there all along, but I recently noticed it.

This is really wierd. When I export a mixdown from cubase SX3 and listens to it with my regular sound board, it plays really wierd. In quiet parts of the song, when only one instrument is playing, that volume on that instrument starts dropping huh.gif and when all the other instruments starts to play the volume gets normal again! And the wierdest thing, is that when I set the Audio Kontrol 1 to be output in windows media player (still playing the mp3-file) it sounds perfect! Exactly like it sounded in cubase blink.gif
I first noticed it when we recorded a song on the drummer's PC. Perfect on the audio interface, but completly wrong on the built in sound board. He sent me the mp3-file and it was like that on my pc to. Here it was slightly better though. On the drummer's computer the volume went up and down all the time..
btw. it happens when I record with my PC aswell. (not only the drummer's)

what should i do? unsure.gif

Hi Erik,

I'm pretty certain that something similar has been discussed on the NI forum boards but I'm not aware of a solution.

Regardless make sure that your Kontrol is up to date - firmware and drivers.

It is possible that the issue may lie in your USB - the bus might not be delivering steady power to the Kontrol.
Make sure your usb drivers are up to date.

Also have a look on the Cubase user forums and see if any one has posted similar there - someone might have replied with a solution.

If none of the above work I'd return it to base either for a new one or your money back.

Cheers,
Tony
