Welcome back, Nico !! Nice to see you going for some laid back Hendrix

Great tone and articulation. A couple of places sounded a bit rushed, mainly at 0:12. In these types of riffs, you can afford to be more laid back and let the pauses count as much as the chords. One thing I do to try and combat the tendency to rush in front of the beat is this:

Take the piece that you are working on.. now try and deliberately play slightly behind the beat. Get a feel for what being late behind the beat feels and sounds like. Now try and bring it up a bit so that it falls on the beat.

If you get to now the feeling of being in front and behind the beat, then you'll be more able to lock in and be right on the beat.

If anything, it's usually more acceptable to be on or ever so slightly behind, because when you're behind a little bit, the drums and bass can swallow up the imperfections.. but if you're in front it's always more noticeable and you can't hide it I hope this makes sense

Hi Nico! Welcome back man! As Ben said, try to swing a bit you know, thinking of this made me remember some words of wisdom from the great Miles Davis - 'Don't play what's there, play what's not there!' so indeed, the spaces between the notes matter just as much!

Very good, but I think there is something missing. The feel. Try to get more into the groove and relax the hands. You were to stiffed on this one I think and it reflected on the tone and timing. Technically it was almost with no mistakes, so just leave it to settle and it will be a 10. For now, it's 9.

Nico dude, you are developing a very nice technique, but for this kind of thing, you know, the classic hendrix type of mid tempo song you need to take your energy levels down, and get yourself into the groove and set the mood.

Ben is 100% right, you need to play a bit behind the tempo and relax, i'm giving you a 7 because i would to see this one again .

This is a very good take. I agree with the other instructors regarding the feel, and the groove. Try to concentrate on it. Add more feeling to your playing in this one and you'll get a 10.
