Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi man, this is some good stuff. Your picking hand looks incredibly relaxed and the movements are very efficient.

I notice you rushed ahead right at the beginning but I think that was a case of "Oh shit, I've just hit record, I need to catch up!" You soon brought it back to being on the beat.

There are some slight timing fluctuations throughout the track, mostly slightly in front of the beat when it happens. Some of the fretting hand work is less tight than the picking. Hammer-ons and pull-offs, for example, could be more precise.

Overall, a very strong take!

Hi mate, nice to find this lesson at REC!

I think that your rhythm metal technique is very promising. You can play riffs with palm muting really fast, even faster than required in some sections so you are really close to master this lesson.

As Ben said, the main problem on this one is timing. There are some parts in which you rush timing, while other parts have random timing issues (like legato riffs). This is not a technique limitation, this is just a matter of getting more comfortable with the different parts and be able to play tight naturally. This will happen just with more days of practice and focusing on it until you note that you don't need to think on it anymore.

It's a natural process, just keep on practicing.

Hey there!
First of all - excellent job done with this lesson. I can't notice anything serious to fix. Like Ben pointed - there are some pull-offs to be done a little stronger and just a few moments where timing goes slightly off but definitely it's a well prepared lesson. Nothing to add. Well done smile.gif
