GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Interesting Iphone Apps

Posted by: Bogdan Radovic Apr 2 2010, 12:05 PM

I have just seen that Planet Waves just launched two iPhone apps. One is a tuner and other one metronome....

Check out the article about them: http://www.bassplayer.com/article/planet-waves-protune/March-2010/110841

It may be useful for those of you who have the iPhone smile.gif

The iPhone is a really great musical tool it turns out. I use the following iphone apps almost daily.

1.)Metronome

2.)Fretboard LE

3.)Groovemaker - Rock (Great for generating backing tracks)

4.)Pocket Guitar

5.)Scale Wizard

6.)Chord Master

7.)Octopod Lite (a mini 4 track recorder on your iphone)

Most of these are free too. Handy!

Nice tools! Having a metronome on your phone is so useful when you're touring

Hi guys

I just got my new iPhone. What kinda metronome app you suggest ? There isn't any reviews for protempo. Is that good for the price 2,99€ ?

Yep! This is something I'm hoping to get for Christmas. It'll be great when I travel. I can take my electric and plug into to my iPod touch and jam away!

Wish that more of the guitar apps were available on the Android OS. At the rate the Android marketplace is been growing its only a matter of time.

I got a Motorola DroidX phone a couple months and it is amazing.. love it.

Cheers!
Gary
