This is one of the funniest guitar tips ever: biggrin.gif

haha now serious, I've read great guitar tips on books by Troy Stetina, Guthrie Govan, Steve Vai's speeches and also many here at the forum. There is one tip that is life related but that can be applied to everything, I also apply it to music and guitar.

These are my two favorite speeches ever, which have many great tips.

I have so many tips from Darek that I can write a book biggrin.gif It's hard to choose one because all are wise tips and helped me very much.
But I will mention one that I use daily and made in my guitar playing a huge difference smile.gif
"Always take care about tiny details"

It's hard to explain how I saw now all things after he learned me to see tiny details. The simple notes played are changed in mix of different techniques. A simple melodic line for ears can be very hard to played just with adding some tiny details. But....this make the difference in playing wink.gif

Details is what makes difference between mid-advanced and pro players wink.gif Details is what makes some guitar cost twice as others. so details are highly important and unfortunately underrated very often wink.gif Thanx Monica. I'm glad I could help and our trip through details is not over yet smile.gif

Of course, it hasn't finish, we are at the beginning of the trip wink.gif We have a long way, but I hardly wait to see the next step from our workshop smile.gif I'm very excited and I'm as a kid who want to run but he didn't know yet how to walk tongue.gif

Slow down
if you play sloppy slow , and play twice that speed- your are playing twice as sloppy

I didn't talk about run as a speed on playing. Was just a metaphoric expression wink.gif I don't want to play at fast speed, this is not my goal, I meant at thirst for learning many things wink.gif

I was talking about my playing , not yours. I have this tendency to try to play it at the right speed and train my self to play sloppy , rather than perfecting slow and gradually increasing the perfection

This is so true. Something that can sound simple and less important is as definitive as you say. This also happens with audio, when you record an album with your band. The final result is the sum of lots of details, if you don't work on details, the final product wound sound PRO.

Honestly I've gotten so many good tips from the instructors; it'd be like picking a favorite child. smile.gif

Something like 25 years ago i had some piano lessons and the teacher said a tiny thing which sticked to my head up to today: “Play the last note as if it were the first ..”. So obvious, but it is actually funny to see how we often seem to be happy to have reached the end that we give lesser importance to the last note in terms of note length, vibrato and so on ..
