Hi guys

Today I listened to the "Once upon a Time in Mexico soundtrack" again after a long time and I want to learn the rhythm guitar of the song "el mariachi".
I coudn't find it on youtube, so I uploaded it there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KcS9Miavj8

Well it's quite short but sooo sweet and easy. And I'm sooo happy I found a tab smile.gif
If you concentrate on the rhythm-guitar you can hear it, although there's a solo.

As I haven't "fingerpicked"(<- right word??) a lot in my life, I need some help from you.

Here's the tab: http://ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/l/los_lobo...ariachi_tab.htm

I don't know which fingers to use when there are 3 notes on one string. Woudn't be smart to use pinky 3 times, huh?
One time there are 7 Notes on one string.

Thanks for your help!

Can anybody help me with the tab of the lesson?

E||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B||---------------------14b----21-18S-19S-18S-16S-18S--16-12~-|
G||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
D||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|

where do I have to make the tap?

I would play it like that: (I make a 0 for the tap which is actually 14 1/2) :

E||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B||---------------------14b----21-0-18S-19S-18-0-16S-18S-16-0-12~-|
G||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
D||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E||-----------------------------------------------------------------------|

but I'm not sure and the last note sounds wrong. dry.gif

I was wondering why GMC is always advertised as "free guitar video lessons".
It's not free isn't it? laugh.gif
Also the mainpage says that. Very dubious in my view. wacko.gif

The new feature doesn't work properly.

For example if I search for "zakk" it asks "Did you mean: Zakkk?" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KKK some kind of sign? laugh.gif Just kidding)
I noticed a few of those.

No serious problem but I thought the admins would like to know.

Hi there

Maybe it has been said before and maybe the most of you already know, but however I want to say what I found out.
Well we all have been practising a lot of licks and solo-stuff and I get really insane when I practise a lick for the 100time and I still hit a wrong note when I speed up.

As I was sitting around at school I started to play some licks with my left hand. Not on a guitar but just in the air. (I already did this long time ago)
So I noticed that playing a lick is actually not something your fingers have to learn, it's something you have to get in mind. As soon as your mind is ready to play it your fingers will be almost ready, too.

So instead of playing the lick 3 hours on real guitar I take those really difficult licks and play them first in the air when I got nothing to do.
As soon as you play that lick on your real guitar it will be much easier because you know how to move your fingers.
