Hi Muris hows it going smile.gif

I`ve not given up on this laugh.gif adopting a different approach to it now tho.

Its just getting my head round the picking technique, so I decided to just work on the actual technique instead of the lesson for the minute.

I`m figuring that once I get the concept of it in the grey matter then I can learn the lesson properly and apply it to that, well thats the theory laugh.gif

so `m just working on a 3nps exercise accross the B and E string till I get it to sound right.m, it occasionally sounds close but I`m not there yet, I`ll try n post some progress soon.

This lesson is so funny and a good challenge as well ... i'm not sure if i will be able to upload something any time soon but i'm working on it.

I never thought that my index finger would ever bring me that much in trouble. A hammer-on with the index without to much string noise and not being muted by the pinky of the note before is something i have to practice i suppose.

Hi Wrk!! smile.gif

I suggest you to use some sort of dumpener.
This isn't 2 handed tapping stuff but since you have to do lot of hammer-ons with index
and pinky just isn't there to mutes, dumpener will do pretty nice job.
Later on you can put it off when you regain more strength in fingers,
until then you may use dumpener and focus on main thing, fake picking. smile.gif

This fake picking thing starts to be addictive ..
I begin to get the concept in my hands, even string noise is lesser now. I noticed this lesson is a kind of demanding concentration lessen as well, because to hide mistakes by just continuing doesn't work here. I just loose it then ... great, i'm glad to have started this one.

Hi,

The participation in this challenge seems to be quite calm the last days .. smile.gif

I have uploaded my latest version with 100bpm.

There are some mistakes when i shift the shape. The sliding note is sometimes wrong or not clean and the speed is not completely constant.
The last three shapes while ascending sounds often out of tune ... these frets are really sensitive on my guitar. Especially the A string. I have tried everything to adjust it, but i think i just have to fret more careful. blink.gif
It's funny .. the area of the 19-21 fret does not have a lot of space to place my finger, but when i check it with my tuner there is hugh difference if i fret direct behind the fret or more in the middle.
I know it's a crapy guitar, but is this normal in this area. Do you have any advice maybe?

Attached File  Muris_FakePicking_100bpm.mov ( 2.85MB ) Number of downloads: 133

I hope others will join with their version ... i'm curious. I think it's an really good lesson. Not only to learn this fakepicking technic, but also for the left hand strength, coordination and synchronization.
