GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Veteran Player, New Here...

Posted by: Blue Willy May 24 2013, 01:46 AM

Hello GMC...I'm new here and will be lurking about until I get a feel for the place. I've been playing guitar since I was 17 and started playing professionally at 21. I'm 71 years old now and am still at it. I've played a variety of styles from blues to folk/Americana to rock to country but have gone back mostly to the blues in recent years. I'm here both to learn and to teach.

Wou!! Those guitars are so beautiful! Welcome to the site man! I'm sure that you have a lot of experiences to share with us!
I wonder about your bands or projects... what can you tell us? Do you have some audio or videos?

Thanks all for the very warm welcome.

Yes, I have taught and do teach.

I'll post some detailed info on my guitars at a later date. I've already posted on my Gretsch.

I played at Larry Blake's a couple of times in the '80s opening for John Hammond.

Thank you all again! smile.gif

Hi Mike & welcome to GMC! smile.gif Though I'm days away from the half-century age & still only beginner-intermediate level, GMC has given me a new passion for the blues so I'm super excited you are here. I love your "friends" & am enjoying watching your videos.
