You hear the HD and think "huh, this is quite good", and when the Fractal kicks in, it just blows it out of the water Of course, Fractal is 3x the price though. Knowing how a pedal board will sound in a mix in important. The new POD HD seems like a solid unit for the price. The Axe Fx is of course killer, but the price is just a bit nuts. I would choose AxeFx anytime over POD HD, it's simply the best unit you can find today, and so well made, you almost don't need an amp next to it, only poweramp, or just a good monitoring system.
