I have a fender strat with a vintage trem. I realized the other day that I have never changed the strings on it myself and I want to learn how. There is no locking nut or anything. Do I follow the same steps for a Floyd Rose setup and just ignore the parts about the locking nut? I did a restringing tutorial, check it out here. Hope it helps mate. let us know if you need any more help. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Fender has exact descriptions on how their tremolos should be set up. Somewhere on their homepage, I remember reading the trem should be raised over the body just a fraction, don't recall if it was a full mm even.
Try looking there aswell as Ivans instruction video. -------------------- My bands homepage
