I've been reading lots of philosophical stuff lately, both modern and ancient. There's only one conclusion I arrived at so far. In 21 century we're actually re discovering the knowledge of the ancients. The science is going backwards while moving forward. Even in music, there's the Golden Ratio. I find anthropology way more interesting than stuff I'm learning at College. Maybe I should reconsider my career.

Share with us your educational path a bit? I've got a Masters degree in Digital Media/Communications Technology. Which is a very broad degree. It was very fun to do it but it's not a technical degree. it's not a "coding" degree. These days, a bit of coding is a good thing

That vid is just a clip from a longer show with other info. Here is a full documentary about pythagoras. Not from History Channel, but more in depth.

Speaking of interesting bits, here is a playlist of vids reading from the Gnostic Texts found in caves and saved for thousands of years. Just having passed through xmas. It got me thinking about this stuff. These texts were written by a group called the "Essenes" who had broken away from traditional Jewish religion in order to remain spiritually pure. The scriptures contain most of the books found in the old and new testaments. They also contain books that were not included in the final Canon of our standard Bible. Some very interesting bits about Seth. The root of Sethian Gnosticism. The essential idea is that the Serpent was sent to share knowledge/Gnosis, and that a false God was sent to prevent us from attaining Gnosis. It flips the traditional story in the Garden of Eden on it's head. I found it fascinating

Do you mean my whole education? In this case, here it is. In high school I was in a math-physics-IT class but my IT teacher was horrible and I gave but I learned some coding by myself. I chose an English language college, translation spec. but seeing how it's rarely profitable profession, I just want to finish and get my degree. My thesis is about psychology and criminal science in literature but I'm interested in pretty much in everything but biology and chemistry (though, pyrotechnics is nice). From symbolism, religions, philosophy and noetic science up to astronomy, cooking and quadratic equations. I even passed some national Japanese exam at N5 level, which is the lowest I think. Currently I got my hands on Plato's Dialogues

I agree!!! One of my profs once told me "when you stop learning you start to die". I believe him. It's only through learning that one keeps growing. Even as an instructor, I'm still a Student Always will be.

I got a 2 year degree (associates) then a 4 year degree (Bachelors) then a graduate degree ( Masters Degree) and I still want to go back and get my "Terminal" Degree (Ph.D, or MFA) at some point. I love being at University. I taught at various Universities here in town for years. Miss that as well!!
