I'm in Gab, that backing is 95bpm though buddy, do you want us to use that one or the 85bpm from the lesson? I'm assuming the one here is fine and you've just hit the '8' instead of the '9' wink.gif

Here's my first try, sorry but I had to extend the backing, it felt too short but I can try something else if it is strictly the length of the posted backing wink.gif Please advise on how to improve. Thanks.

and for those that don't know..D major from the first quarantine jam is the dorian minor scale of this song , it might make for some fun ,out of your comfort zone (sort of ) and it is the c# that gives it it's tonality..so just play around the c# till your ear picks up on it and you are set

I'll try and improve on mine Gab, I always struggle to beat my first take though for some reason, even though it isn't perfect it was fresh and heartfelt and I just never seem to capture the moment again rolleyes.gif

Love the backing, here is my take:

Attached File  quarantine_jam2_kris_mix.mp3 ( 509.1K ) Number of downloads: 121

Attached File  quarantine_jam2_kris_gui_only.mp3 ( 943.8K ) Number of downloads: 84

Fun fact: I used the split coil position of Ola's Solar Duncan pickups using the rig below, sounds like a hot strat to me!

Thanks Gab 👊 No these have been around for quite some time now, but I have never taken the time to learn them.

However for my lesson work I find it superior to be able to change my amp in the mix without having to re-amp - and I have come to discover that these amps/pedals actually are really good.

Interesting! Yes, I also think that being able to tweak amp settings during the mix is priceless. That's why I've been using some amp simulators.

I've been using the trial tests offered by Neural DSP (Plini and Nolly), Mercuriall and STL. I'm honestly impressed, these plug ins offer the same quality than my Fractal AX8 and I can tweak the sound until last export.
